Ca' Vendramin Calergi

Recently renovated, and thus now freed from the scaffolding and tarpaulin covers which used to hide it, here is the Vendramin Calergi palace. This 15th century palace, built by Mauro Codussi and his sons, has been used since 1959 as the Venice Casino. Richard Wagner died in this beautiful building in February 1883.
