Barge in San Pietro

At the east of Venice, San Pietro di Castello is linked to the main island by two bridges, one of whom is the wooden Ponte di Quintavalle. This tiny island, has been one of the first settlements in Venice. It's today an area mainly dedicated to all kind of navigation industries, with lots of fishing boats, transportation barges, with shipyards and engine repair shops, and fishing nets streched to dry on the wharfages.
