(en) END:CIV examines our culture's addiction to systematic violence and environmental exploitation, and probes the resulting epidemic of poisoned landscapes and shell-shocked nations. Based in part on Endgame, the best-selling book by Derrick Jensen, END:CIV asks: "If your homeland was invaded by aliens who cut down the forests, poisoned the water and air, and contaminated the food supply, would you resist?"

The causes underlying the collapse of civilizations are usually traced to overuse of resources. (en) Blek Le Rat is one of the inventors of Street Art and modern Stencil Art, and has been developing his art since the beginning of the eighties. In a trip to NYC in 1971, Blek sees graffiti ‘writing’ on the streets for the first time leaving a lasting impression, which later inspired him to create his own style. It was only a decade later that Blek found the stencil and began his quest. He cut a stencil of silhouette of a rat and sprayed it everywhere in Paris for over a year, at a time when no one was making street art, apart from political graffiti. Blek revolutionized the meaning of the street stencil from Political to Art. He flipped it. This is a defining moment in the history of Street Art.

Street art has evolved and the year is now 2006 and every major stencil artist today, most famously Banksy, have been influenced by Blek’s unique style. Bansky claims, “every time I think I’ve painted something slightly original, I find out that Blek Le Rat has done it as well, only twenty years earlier…”

“Blek Le Rat - Original Stencil Pioneer”, highlights the work of the Parisian Stencil Art maverick. Kick back and relax, and accompany Blek on a road trip through France, as he talks about his life, his work and his influence on street art as well as a virtual lecture and slide show of his work over the last 25 years.

(en) On the 17.06.2007 art group Ztohoven secretly altered Czech TV broadcast. They inserted footage into the Panorama program of ČT2 channel showing illusionary nuke explosion in picturesque setting of Krkonoše Mountains.

Their aim was to contribute to discussion about media manipulation, hence the entire action was called “The Media Reality”. However in the end, it touched upon many other topics. Regardless of the action’s point, the artists were labeled dangerous hackers and digital pirates. The debate about media (in)dependence swiftly turned into a hoax accusation. Whole hell broke loose as they accidentally tapped system’s weak points, many more than they had originally expected. These days seven members of up to the point anonymous group are dragged from court to court. Fined by the council for public TV and radio broadcast on one side, awarded by National Gallery’s prize NG 333 on the other, Ztohoven members gave birth to an action which, over the period of one year, has grown into unforeseen dimensions.

(cz) Dne 17.6.2007 se umělecká skupina Ztohoven, napojila do vysílání České Televize. Do ranního pořadu Panorama na programu ČT2, vpravili montáž, která zobrazovala fiktivní atomový výbuch v malebné krajině Krkonoš.

Chtěli tím přispět do veřejné debaty o mediální manipulaci - celá akce byla nazvána "Mediální realita". Témat bylo nakonec otevřeno mnohem víc. Nehledě na pointu celého aktu, začali být umělci označováni za nebezpečné hackery nebo digitální piráty. Debata o (ne)závislosti médií se změnila na obžalobu pro šíření poplašné zprávy. Není divu. Píchli do vosího hnízda, dotkli se slabého místa systému a odkryli víc problémů než měli v úmyslu. Nyní je za to sedm členů, dosud anonymní skupiny, vláčeno soudními síněmi. Dostali pokutu od Rady pro rozhlasové a televizní vysílání a na druhou stranu jsou oceněni Národní Galerií, cenou NG333 pro mladé umělce. Celá věc se tak táhne již více než rok a stalo se z ní něco, co si nikdo z členů nepředstavoval.
