The same industry has spent millions of dollars to fund think tanks, organizations, and scientists who have waged a global campaign of deceit regarding the science of climate change and its dire impacts. Five years in the making, We Women Warriors is an independent documentary that follows the lives of three indigenous women in Colombia as they strive to nonviolently defend their peoples autonomy in a climate of constant military violence:
Doris Puchana, is a young mother who governs a vulnerable Awá population that traditionally grows coca leaves. Ludis Rodriguez, is a spunky Kankuamo widow who is framed and captured on false charges of rebellion. Flor Ilva Trochez, is the first female Nasa governor of Jambaló, who leads a pacific movement to dismantle police barracks that endanger civilians by placing them in the line of fire.
Even though We Women Warriors bears witness to human rights abuses; the film gives a voice to these women who never lose hope, courage or faith. Despite her life being threatened after denouncing a massacre in her village, Doris does not abandon her tribal post. Once Ludis is freed she is able to move onward with her family, coping and healing after systematic violence swept through her region. Flor and her people put Colombia's constitutional indigenous autonomy into practice and strive to create a territory free of armed fighters.
In their recent report, "Sweet Words, Air of Life", the National Indigenous Organization of Colombia (ONIC) notes that all 102 distinct Indigenous Peoples in Colombia "are at risk of disappearing" because of the ongoing conflict between Colombia's armed forces and paramilitary groups like the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia (FARC).
32 of these people are a particular concern, says ONIC, "due to the fact that they have a population of less than 500 people, the majority concentrated in the regions of Amazonía and Orinoquía. Of these 32 peoples, 18 have a population of less than 200 people, and 10 are composed of less than 100 individuals."
Within this context, on January 26, 2009, the Constitutional Court of Colombia issued a Decree on behalf of the indigenous peoples, in which it was concluded that the indigenous peoples "are in danger of becoming physically and culturally extinct." The decree ordered the national government to implement a Program that guarantees the Human Rights for all the Indigenous Peoples.
To date, the government has failed to create such a program.

(en) To the best of our knowledge, no comprehensive documentary about anarchism has ever been made. Of the often very dated films on anarchist themes that are available, most either misrepresent anarchism (1981’s pro anarcho-capitalist ‘Anarchism in America’), are focused on specific moments in anarchist history (‘Living Utopia’, ‘The Angry Brigade’, ‘Lucio the Anarchist’, etc), or discuss the wider social justice / alter-globalisation movements (‘Fourth World War’). Such an absence is unfortunate, for we think that now, more than ever, a broad, accessible documentary introduction to anarchism would be of tremendous value to those of us who wish to share the history, ideas and promise of our diverse, protean movement with a general audience. Instead of complaining though, we’re just going to knuckle down and make it ourselves! We envisage creating, over the next year or so, an engaging, entertaining, relatively mainstream film that will cover – via interviews with prominent anarchists mixed with archival footage, narration, person-on-the-street discussions and explanatory animations – a historical overview of anarchism, an explanation of the core principles (anti-authoritarianism, anti-capitalism, mutual aid…you know the stuff!) and an exploration of all the contrasting but ultimately complementary views held by contemporary anarchists from around the world. We’d also like to deliver a message of realistic hope and a call for action in this time of social and ecological crisis. Being long-time anarchists ourselves, we recognize the importance of a supportive community in ensuring our project succeeds in fairly portraying both contemporary and historical anarchism and does not fall prey to personal biases or prejudices. We will thus be communicating openly and honestly with the broad anarchist community about our progress and underlying vision. More pressingly though, we also recognize the importance of mutual aid and so, even though we’re soliciting it through capitalist channels, we humbly request your modest donations. These will help us with our frugal travel, eating and living expenses, as well as with editing and post-production costs. Those who cannot help financially are more than welcome to offer couches for the night. (en) In 1999, Australian Charlie Hill-Smith traveled as a tourist to West Papua (Irian Jaya), the Indonesian province on the island of Papua. He was deeply affected by the enchanting natural environment and the friendly locals. But when, after returning home, he started to look deeper into the country's culture, he realized that he had actually been in an undeclared war zone. In Melbourne, he got to know a community of musicians who were on the run from the Indonesian army and had fled from West Papua to Australia. Through their stories, he gained insight into the true history of the country. Strange Birds in Paradise is a journey into just some of the more than 250 West Papuan cultures. Intercut with Hill-Smith's travelogue and short animations, the interviews paint a picture not only of a country with a rich musical tradition and breathtaking nature, but also of a country weighed down by Indonesian military oppression. A large number of retired army generals have substantial economic interests in West Papua, and the army uses extreme violence to keep the lid on the West Papuan population's independence movement. In 2006, Hill-Smith decided to return to West Papua, this time equipped with a professional camera and all the knowledge he had gained about the country's history.

This campaign starts exactly one month before the Court of Appeal hearings start in The Pirate Bay trial in Stockholm, Sweden. In 2009 the founders of The Pirate Bay were convicted to 1 year in jail and to pay damages of around 4 million dollars for having 'assisted in making copyrighted content available'. The precedent in the Pirate Bay case will have consequences for the future of the internet. We will cover the upcoming trial closely.
After the court case we'll sit down with two years of footage and start editing a first roughcut. The money we raise here will go to studio rent and an editor.

Always in the thick of it and with ever her trusty camera to hand she saddled up with The Climate Rush “Bike Rush” as they brought Westminster to a standstill, pitched up with The Climate Camp as they occupied Blackheath, masked up with The Great Climate Swoop as they stormed the fences at Ratcliffe-on-Soar coal power station, and then accompanied them all to wintry Copenhagen as they took their protest to the streets outside the UN COP 15 climate talks. And those are just the headlines!

This is what police captain Olivier Chartier wants ton find out. To understand the story, he will have to go back 48 hours earlier...
This could have been an ordinary day, followed by a common christmas eve...
Not for Franck : insignificant drama-teacher, Franck belongs to a nameless and leaderless commando : a resistance whose members are all running for one goal : animal liberation.
These characters are bound by a limitless empathy towards mistreated animals, and will have to show courage to face the last parts of an operation they have been preparing for months.
Every single member of this team will suffer from doubt and fear... because failure is not a possible option, and its consequences would be disastrous...
Their goal : to free a group dogs, condemned to be sold to laboratories for the purpose of live experiments.
Their philosophy : when something has gone beyond the boundaries of reason, you got to forget about what is legal, and care about what seems right.
Of course, laws do not support this kind of behavior : this commando claims to be part of the A.L.F. (Animal Liberation Front), a community hunted-down by every government, considered as eco-terrorists.
But nobody seems to be able to stop Franck and his 6 « resistants »
However, their actions won't stay unpunished, and during his quiestionning, Franck will understand that one of his fellows betrayed him.
Now, Franck knows that he will be worked over by a pityless Captain Chartier, which he will have to face alone.

C’est ce que voudrait découvrir le Capitaine de Police Olivier Chartier. Pour comprendre le fin mot de l’histoire, il va lui falloir remonter 48 heures plus tôt…
Cela aurait pu être une journée ordinaire, suivie d’une soirée de réveillon comme les autres…
Pas pour Franck, en tout cas : modeste professeur de théâtre, Franck fait partie d’un commando sans nom, sans leader : une résistance au sein de laquelle des activistes se sont rangés derrière un seul but, une seule cause : la libération animale.
Ces personnages sont chacun animés par une empathie sans faille pour les animaux maltraités, et vont devoir faire preuve de courage pour affronter les derniers préparatifs d’une opération qu’ils mettent en place depuis de longs mois déjà.
Tous vont douter, s’angoisser, parfois perdre pied… car l’échec n’est pas envisageable et les conséquences à l’arrivée sont loin d’être négligeables.
Leur objectif : libérer des chiens condamnés à être vendus à des laboratoires pratiquant la vivisection.
Leur philosophie : lorsque quelque chose a dépassé les limites du raisonnable, il faut alors oublier ce qui est légal, pour servir ce qui semble juste.
Mais bien sûr, la loi ne voit pas les choses de cette manière : le commando se réclame de l'A.L.F. (Animal Liberation Front), mouvance que les polices du monde entier traquent, considérant leurs membres comme des éco-terroristes.
Mais rien ni personne ne semble pouvoir arrêter Franck et ses 6 « résistants ».
Pourtant, leur action ne va pas rester impunie et lors de sa garde à vue, Franck va comprendre quel’un des siens l’a trahi.
Pour lui, c’est le début d’un impitoyable interrogatoire, car il va devoir affronter seul les intimidations répétées du Capitaine Chartier.
