(en) Indymedia activists shot hundreds of hours documenting the 2003 FTAA (Free Trade Area of the Americas) protests in Miami and shaped it into a documentary that cuts through the mass media blackout to reveal the brutal repression and assault on civil liberties that took place, as well as the inspiring alternatives to capitalist globalization that were also in full effect in Miami.
Martial Law was declared in downtown Miami in November of 2003 to provide security for the FTAA Economic Summit. Blatant and unashamed police brutality is caught on film. The US Federal government granted the State of Florida $8.5 million dollars from the $87 billion allotted to Congress to fight the "War on Terror," in order to provide "security" for the FTAA summit. Tazers and "non-lethal" weaponry was pilot tested at this event with little to no instruction on proper handling of the equipment or restrictions on use. This film serves as an example of how the war on terror is nothing more than a war on the American citizenry, and is meant as a war on dissent. Celý film je protknutý atmosférou USA po 11. září 2001 a války v Iráku. Dává nahlédnout pod pokličku neoliberální politiky očima lidí angažovaných ve věcech, na které má tato politika přímí vliv, a zabývá se i formováním strategií, jaké by mělo hnutí proti ekonomické globalizaci používat v podmínkách „války proti terorismu".
