(en) A documentary on Paul Watson, who takes the law into his own hands on the open seas, confronting, by any nonviolent means necessary, the hunters who indiscriminately slaughter whales, seals and sharks, along with complicit governments and environmental organizations.

"Pirate for the Sea" is a biographical film of Captain Paul Watson, the youngest founding member of Greenpeace Canada. He organized early campaigns protesting the killing of seals, whales, and dolphins. Greenpeace ejected him for being too much of an activist. Starting his own organization, the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, he went on to sink illegal whaling ships, stopped Canadian seal hunts for ten years, permanently halted sealing in British Isles, killing of dolphins on Iki Island, Japan, etc. This documentary witnesses his latest campaigns and explores the personal and environmental history of this controversial marine conservationist.

Greenpeace ho vyhodili pretože bol príliš zanieteným aktivistom. A tak založil vlastnú organizáciu, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, a potápal nelegálne veľrybárske lode, desať rokov maril lov tuleňov v Kanade, natrvalo zastavil lov tuleňov na britských ostrovoch, zabíjanie delfínov na ostrove Iki v Japonsku, atď. Tento dokumentárny film ukazuje jeho nedávne kampane a skúma osobnú a environmentálnu históriu tohto kontroverzného ochrancu oceánov.

(en) On a cold December morning in 1919, just after midnight, Emma Goldman, her comrade Alexander Berkman, and more than 200 other foreign-born radicals were roused from their Ellis Island dormitory beds to begin their journey out of the United States for good. Convicted of obstructing the draft during World War I, Goldman's expatriation came 34 years after she had fist set foot in New York- a young, brilliant, Russian immigrant. For more than three decades, she had taunted mainstream America with her outspoken attacks on government, big business and war. As this AMERICAN EXPERIENCE production shows, Goldman's passionate espousal for Leon Czolgosz, the assassin who killed President McKinley, brought down upon her the hatred of the authorities and the public at large. Feared as a sponser of anarchy and revolution, she was vilified in the press as "Red Emma, " "Queen of the Anarchists," and "the most dangerous woman in America."

(en) There are plenty of anarchists in the world. Many have committed robbery or smuggling for their cause. Fewer have discussed strategies with Che Guevara or saved the skin of Eldridge Cleaver, the leader of the Black Panthers. There is only one who has done all that, and also brought to its knees the most powerful bank on the planet by forging travellers cheques, without missing a single day of work in his construction job. He is Lucio Urtubia, from a tiny village in Navarra in North of Spain. Lucio, 75, now lives in Paris, still raising anarchist hell. Lucio has been protagonist and witness to many of the historic events of the second half of the 20th century. His family was persecuted by Franco's regime, he was on the streets of Paris for the phenomenon of May of '68, he actively supported Castro's revolution, he helped thousands of exiled people by providing false documents to them. But without a doubt, his greatest triumph came in the second half of the seventies. The press called him "the good bandit", or the Basque Zorro. He managed to swindle 25 million dollars from the First National Bank (now Citibank), to later invest the money in causes he believed in. Miraculously, he spent no more than a few months in jail throughout his career.

Tento murár počas svojho života stihol vykrádať banky, falšovať doklady, bojovať proti Francovmu režimu, preberať stratégiu s Che Guevarom, zachrániť život vodcovi Čiernych panterov a falšovaním šekov takmer zruinovať Citibank. Napriek tomu údajne nevynechal ani jeden deň vo svojom zamestnaní a dodnes žije na slobode.
