(en) The MOVE Organization is a family of strong, serious, deeply committed revolutionaries founded by a wise, perceptive, strategically minded Black man named John Africa.
The MOVE 9 are members of the MOVE Organization who have now been unjustly imprisoned for the murder of police officer James Ramp stemming from the 8/8/78 attack on MOVE headquarters.
There is ample proof and knowledge that police friendly fire killed Ramp and not MOVE as the system wants people to believe.
There is no reason why MOVE people should not receive parole. They have excellent prison records and have kept down racial and gang violence in prison, helped inmates fight drug addiction, mother and fathers establish relationships with their children on the outside, and have been an overall positive influence on the prison population staff and inmates.
(sk) MOVE (skratka angl. slova ´movement´) vzniklo v USA začiatkom 70. rokov. Od začiatku to bola radikálne ekologická, prevažne (i keď nie výlučne) černošská, nekompromisná, striktne vegetariánska skupina žijúca komunitným životom. Jedli výlučne surovú organickú stravu, nesledovali TV, sami vzdelávali svoje deti, dali si spoločné priezviská, nosili dready a recyklovali odpad. Pod "vedením" ich zakladateľa Johna Africu, MOVE bojovalo proti každej forme útlaku, počnúc výstavbou dialníc, pokusov na zvieratách, cirkusmi so zvieratami až po štátny útlak, násilie páchané na ženách a detskú pornografiu.
MOVE 9 sú nevinní muži a nevinné ženy, ktorí/é sú vo väzení od 8. augusta 1978, následne po masívnom policajnom útoku na nás v našom dome v Powelton Village (Philadelphia, USA). Toto bolo sedem rokov predtým, kedy vláda zhodila na MOVE bombu a zabila 11 ľudí, vrátane 5 detí. Policajný útok na MOVE, 8. augusta 1978 nasledoval po rokoch policajnej brutality proti MOVE a bol obrovskou vojenskou operáciou vykonanou policajným oddelením vo Philadelphii pod príkazmi vtedy-starostom Franka Rizza, ktorého reputácia kvôli rasizmu a brutalite je všeobecne známa.
